Welcome and thank you to all mem-
bers new and old for your support and
your actions of support. This goes dou-
ble for causes such as the lack of gov-
ernmental care for veterans with PTSD,
the Marriage after 60 problems and the
unacceptable closure of VA offices.
These and many other inadequate
federal government policies have been
causing Vets an abundance of discom-
fort to say the least. As I have indicated
in the past, AFPAAC can only take the
fight for your benefits so far. From there
on it is up to you to let the government
know that their policies are unacceptable
and unfair.
The government has and is reneging
on their long honoured agreement to
look after us Vets with regards to the
damage we incurred while serving
Canadians. They are gradually removing
our equivalent to workman's compensa-
tion and, if this took place in the civilian
world, the uproar would be deafening!
Yet our government keeps quietly going
about this in the name of balancing the
budget, which is actually a misallocation
of funds being taken away from our sup-
port.
The Conservative government has
lost its way when dealing with Canada's
Vets. They are buying new war equip-
ment while ignoring and failing the
damaged servicemen and women that
use them. Please keep this in mind when
dealing with your MP and reflect your
discontent at the ballot box.
Yours,
Anthony Huntley CD2
