Agent Orange Ex-Gratia
Payment Widows On A Warpath
On
Tuesday 8 December, four widows from New Brunswick appeared
before Parliament’s Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs
regarding Agent Orange Compensation.
This link will take you to
the committee and the presentation by the widows to support
their claim that the rules imposing date limits in the VAC
Agent Orange Ex-Gratia Payment Program are highly unfair.
The hearing lasts for two hours but we are confident that
you will appreciate the frustration these widows have
encountered recently.

2010 Pension Increase
The Treasury Board has
announced the increase in indexing to be applied, on
1 January 2010, to public service, Canadian Forces, RCMP,
and federally appointed judges’ pensions will be a whopping
0.5% (half of one per cent). |
